USIC LLC ACQUIRES DPS LLC

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- DPS LLC ( d.b.a, Damage Prevention Specialists), a natural gas utility locating company headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, was recently acquired by Indianapolis-based USIC, LLC (USIC), the largest underground utility and damage prevention company in North America operating in 31 states and Alberta, Canada, according to Michael Johnson, USIC's Senior Vice President & Chief Integration Officer.

DPS evolved from legacy companies dating back to 1987 and provides services in South Carolina and North Carolina, according to James McCarter, former President of DPS, who now serves as a District Manager for USIC.

"USIC is pleased to acquire DPS and provide services for existing customers and develop relationships with new ones in the two-state area," Johnson stated.  "We are fortunate to have James become a new District Manager and welcome him and DPS's employees into the USIC family."
