USIC's Danny Horn was honored with the pretigious Patriot Award by the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
The Patriot Award is the first in the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve's series of awards, and reflects individual supervisor's efforts to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for gamilies and granted leaves of absense if needed.
Horn's nomination came from locate technician, Darin Day; Day shared that Horn always ensures the time off that he needs to fulfill his Guard/Reserve duty.
